Samuel Andrew U.,  or also known as Oluwasamlexfree, is a public health graduate, works with a nonprofit organization that focuses on health advocacy. 

‘’My daily responsibilities involve community health education, where I lead initiatives to improve public health literacy. Within the Web3 space, I started my journey in mid-2020, seeking extra earning opportunities and eventually joining the MANTRA Ambassadorship Program. 

Since then, I’ve become deeply involved in various decentralized ecosystems, including DeFi, CeFi, EducFi Social Mining, and ambassadorial roles for platforms like C4E, Beam Africa, and MANTRA.’’ he shares

His blend of public service and blockchain knowledge offers a unique perspective that resonates with both the Avalanche Hub and other communities he contributes to.

Strategies for Fostering an Engaged Community

Samuel’s standout achievement within the Avalanche Hub was earning 2,000 points for a freestyle community engagement task. When asked about the key strategies that helped foster such an active and engaged community, he emphasized authentic interactions and tailored engagement.

He says ‘’First, I created spaces where members felt comfortable sharing their thoughts and ideas especially as it borders my content. By being approachable and open to all opinions, I encouraged meaningful discussions around my content about the Avalanche’s ecosystem.’’

‘’Regular participation in community-driven initiatives which I translate into content providing helpful resources further strengthened my connection with the community.‘’

Listening to the needs of both newcomers and seasoned members, Samuel's regular participation in community-driven initiatives, backed by content creation and resource sharing, ensured long-term engagement.

Social Mining and Decentralized Ecosystems

His involvement in Social Mining across different hubs has deepened his understanding of decentralized ecosystems.

‘’Each hub offers a unique experience, but what they all share is the power of community-driven growth. In these hubs, I’ve seen firsthand how decentralization empowers individuals to contribute meaningfully to the development of a project, regardless of geographical location or background.’’

He also added, ‘’Avalanche Hub stands out because of its strong ecosystem and the innovative projects within it. Avalanche’s focus on scalability, security, and decentralization aligns perfectly with my interests.’’

According to him, Social Mining will become increasingly integrated with DeFi protocols and governance models, offering contributors opportunities not just to participate but to drive the adoption of critical blockchain innovations.

‍‘’Being an ambassador for Beam Africa, MANTRA, and C4E has equipped me with valuable skills in community management, communication, and project promotion. 

‍My experience as an ambassador has also sharpened my ability to identify key value propositions in a project and effectively communicate those to both crypto enthusiasts and newcomers. ‘’

He acknowledges that one of the biggest challenges for newcomers is the step learning curve of blockchain concepts such as decentralization, smart contracts, and tokenomics.
