We are happy to present the very 1st "Super Smash Miner Melee", an annual elimination competition for the Top Social Miners of our Ecosystem, selected among the best of each of the main LangChat groups of our Community.

How the DAO Labs Super Smash Miner Melee unfolds?

As an engagement tool, mainly to have fun and test the Social Miner skills, the DAO Labs Core visualized a confrontation/elimination team challenge in which one-single standing Social Miner would take home a final big prize while retaining every gain after finishing each week’s challenge during 5 rounds.

The Core drafted 4 groups of 8 Social Miners each by analyzing both task performance and X Module engagement on all the Hubs. The logical way to distribute the groups was according to the main LangChats on our Telegram channels: Africa, Philippines, Turkey and the Rest of the World for Fast Pace Workers. You will find more information about this point a few lines below.

To spice things up, starting on Tuesday, May 14th of 2024, we will release the 1st task for all the 32 fighters who will have a week period to perform and present their 5 weekly submissions. Only half of them will make it to the next round, for a new task. The remaining players will get participation compensation, and some will advance but the rest will be eliminated.

Rewards will be assigned according to this list:

1st week: 8 Winners get 500 Points, each. 16 continue to next round
2nd week: 4 Winners get 750 Points, each. 8 continue to next round3000
3rd week: 2 Winners get 1,000 Points, each. 4 continue to next round
4th week: 2 Winners get 1,500 Points, each. 2 continue to next round
5th and Final week: The Final standing Smasher gets the biggest prize: 3,000 Points and 0.3 REP after a live Mano-a-Mano competition!

There's an ongoing competition on DAOVERSE, 10 Hero Tasks, for everyone to participate. Only drafted Social Miners can participate in the Smash Challenge.

If you do the maths, the fittest Social Miner of all will be taking home 6,750 Points and 0,3 REP, making the SSMM challenge the highest paid challenge to reward a single participant.

Why 32 Social Miners participate in the Smash Melee?

The DAO Labs Core Team picked these 32 Social Miners according to their historic performance across all the Daoversian platforms to gather the most committed, bad-ass, ultimate group that collectively and individually achieved more Points and REP since their beginnings in Social Mining.

The goal will face each other in this challenge, based on their Quality and Engaging Work, where the best ones will endure the 5 consecutive elimination rounds.

This is a voluntary challenge and we’ve prepared a “bench of Fast Pace Workers” as part of a 2nd draft round. All the selected Social Miners were contacted for their confirmation if they wanted to participate.
