Introducing Roilan Mandar, DAO Labs Marketing Manager
A few days ago we announced a change in the DAO Labs lineup, triggering a lot of anticipation, congratulations and shows of happiness and respect from members of our community.
Having been in our company for the past two years, Roilan Mandar, better known as Azraiel for Social Miners around the World, has demonstrated exceptional dedication, hard work, and a collaborative spirit that has made a significant impact across all the company departments. His commitment is a real example of our company values towards client projects and the community.
I had the privilege to have this conversation with him in an episode of “Into the DAOVERSE”, where Azraiel talked about his new role and plans to take the Daoversian Galaxy further away.
Many newcomers to the Social Mining Community know you but I think that most of them don't know you closely or don't know about your Social Mining Experience. How did you start with it?
Yes, I believe that's true. For those who don't know me yet, here's a little about my Social Mining journey. I was part of the first batch of Social Miners at DAO Labs, thanks to a close friend of mine, Sici. At first, I wasn’t fully focused on Social Mining because I was working as a customer service assistant for our town’s water company. But everything changed when I discovered how Social Mining could transform my life.
It helped me move from a stressful office job to the happiness of working from home in the world of blockchain. You can read more about my journey here: How Social Mining Transformed My Work and Earnings.
The experience was amazing! My first payout, which we now call a “workdrop,” was $100, and that was huge for me. I knew then that this technology was special, earning while learning!
Since then, I’ve been inspired by the idea that Social Mining can bridge the gap between traditional office work and financial freedom while providing a meaningful alternative to wasting time on social media. I truly believe that God is using Social Mining as a tool to transform lives, just as it has transformed mine.
Kudos to the brilliant minds behind this project, Sir Malte, Sir Shuyong and to you Sir Alexis! Your vision and hard work are truly inspiring.
You have been in the DAO Labs ranks for about 2 years now, with community task building and validation work. How has your experience been so far?
Honestly, as I recall, when I first got involved working alongside the DAO Labs team, I started out as a regular Social Miner offering help because the community of miners, especially among the Pinoys, was rapidly declining. I wanted to do something to help grow it again. I can even count the number of miners back then on my fingers. I’m grateful that the team granted my request and supported me with this campaign.
I began by posting campaigns on Facebook, and that's when we started attracting new miners, amazing miners, in fact! Some of them are still consistently involved in Social Mining today, and we’ve seen steady growth, largely through word of mouth and the positive testimonies shared by them.
It was a tiring experience at first, non-stop answering questions through private chats, Messenger, and Telegram, especially dealing with the common problem new miners faced, which was connecting their wallets. This was the hardest part, along with teaching them how to complete tasks. Sometimes, I even had to complete their tasks with them, helping in the way. But despite the challenges, it was all worth it. Seeing the community grow and evolve into what it is now has been truly rewarding.
You have been appointed as Marketing Manager for DAO Labs. What’s your plan to follow the Marketing trending and turn them into Social Mining strategies? Let's start with the community, in regards to tasks and validations.
To stay up-to-date with marketing trends, I prioritize staying informed about the latest news, achievements, and updates related to our project and its partners. I then create tasks based on these updates that benefit both the project and the community. These tasks help amplify the reach of important news, encouraging miners and readers to engage with the project, learn more about it, and even consider investing, boosting their confidence in the project.
Regarding validation, since our focus is on promotion rather than personal opinions, tasks that make a strong impact and generate good impressions tend to earn higher points. Posts that are precise, detailed, and well-crafted always perform better. It's incredibly rewarding to see how the miner-user-project relationship flourishes, with each side benefiting from the other through Social Mining.
What role does social media play in your marketing strategy, and how do you manage and measure its impact?
Social media is a big part of our marketing strategy because it connects the project with the community. It’s not just a place to promote but also a way to engage, share knowledge, and build trust. Platforms like Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, Reddit, Binance Square, CMC, and Medium help us share updates, celebrate achievements, and encourage miners and followers to get involved.
To manage social media, we start with a clear plan. We align tasks and campaigns with the project’s goals and create content that is easy to understand, interesting, and visually appealing. This is why miners are encouraged to use graphics with clear and simple information, it makes posts more effective. We also use tools to track how posts perform by looking at things like views, likes, comments, and shares.
We measure success not just by numbers but by how well we connect with people. Good engagement, like meaningful comments and shares, shows that the community is interested and involved. By keeping our social media focused on the project’s goals and values, we make sure it helps the project grow stronger.
How do you measure the effectiveness of a marketing campaign and what will be the areas that you prioritize to work with?
To measure the success of a marketing campaign, I focus on simple and clear results:
1. Engagement:
Looking at likes, comments, shares, and views to see how many people are interacting with the campaign. It’s good to keep track of how many people signed up, joined tasks, or participated because of the campaign.
3. Reach and Growth:
Checking how far the campaign spread—new followers, website visits, or how many people saw the content.
4. Community Feedback:
Listening to what the community says about the campaign to understand if they liked it and found it useful.
5. Task Results:
Seeing how many miners completed tasks and how well they did shows how engaging the campaign was.
But for the 4 principles to follow those would be:
- Community Engagement: Keeping the community active and excited about the project.
- Quality Content: Ensuring posts are clear, interesting, and easy to understand. We motivate miners by rewarding large points for quality content.
- Feedback from Users: Learning from what miners and followers say to improve future campaigns.
- Results Analysis: Looking at what worked and improving based on those results.
By keeping things simple and focused, we can make sure every campaign helps the project grow and benefits everyone involved.
And how about partnerships? What's the plan to assimilate more projects to Social Mining and make our ecosystem growing stronger.
Now that we've successfully launched our ILO, we plan to integrate this powerful tool into our marketing strategy. We’ll definitely introduce it to our future partner projects, and I strongly believe it’s a win-win for both sides. For projects, they can offer tokens to people who genuinely support and understand their project, rather than just those looking to earn and leave. For users, it’s a no-risk opportunity with high rewards. They have full control over their tokens, so it’s not gambling with money. Instead, they showcase their skills and use their social media influence to contribute to the project. It's a true partnership where their work is highly valued and rewarded. No regrets, just great results!
That’s why I encourage our miners out there to keep improving and bring more love into your work. The ILO is here to back you up. Some of you have already tasted its power and know what it brings. Keep sharing this!
It’s a good start and the community is eager to listen to what's coming, but also need to know what’s your own vision on Social Mining. What would you tell them?
To all the miners out there, I highly encourage you to give your best in every task, post, and tweet you create. Put more passion and dedication into your work, as we are doing our best to bring you the best projects. We are in this together, and we need to maintain perfect harmony to achieve balance. If one side doesn’t cooperate, we may face significant challenges in the future. Let’s make this great! We’ve just launched our amazing tool, the ILO, and you’ve all seen how rewarding it can be. Let’s show great projects out there that Social Mining is the perfect way to incentivize their users in a fair and transparent manner.
Let’s focus on growing our community by welcoming newcomers. Show them how Social Mining can help them support their favorite projects and discover new ones that align with their interests, all while earning tokens for their contributions. For seasoned miners, start building your social media presence and stay more active. In this way, the Twitter algorithm will work in our favor, boosting the visibility of our posts and helping us reach a wider audience.
We live in the 21st century, where the world relies on social media, don’t let it control you; instead, find ways to use it to your advantage and earn from it. DAO Labs’ Social Mining is the key!
Thank you so much guys and to everyone who has supported us along the way. This is just the beginning, and I’m excited for what’s to come. Let’s continue to grow and evolve together! I truly appreciate your support and feel grateful to be part of this amazing family. To all my fellow OG miners, thank you for consistently delivering outstanding work! You guys are great role models, and I will always look to you for inspiration to keep working hard. To the new miners, every achievement you make, the points you earn, and the growth you show gives me the strength to continue guiding others.
