Hooks to Monetize on Social Platforms
The Social Mining Community of DAO Labs learns and earns. By getting to know about blockchain and businesses, on how they work and what benefits those have to offer, creating original and useful content, and ultimately posting that on social media, they get compensated in a fair way according to quality and engagement. In the Daoversian Galaxy, our Social Miners can find that although there are other information platforms where they can expand their Social Media footprint, earning more and increasing their blockchain knowledge.
Binance and CoinMarketCap are two well recognized names in Blockchain who don’t need any introduction. The two of them have opened social media content platforms where users can share their ideas, discover the latest news and trends in the blockchain ecosystem, and engage in community discussions related to cryptocurrencies and Web3.
They have different points of view and unique purposes -serving to their parent services- but similar topics in their forum-like threads. On both you will find discussions about Bitcoin’s (BTC) price movements or adoption, as well with Ethereum (ETH) or any other Altcoins, including their use cases, technology, and potential. Also you will read about DeFi (Decentralized Finance) Insights and projects, yield farming, liquidity pools, and lending platforms. Also, about popular stuff like NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) because of FanArt, collectibles, and gaming NFTs, along with market trends and notable sales.
These two platforms play crucial roles in disseminating crypto knowledge, encouraging dialogue, and strengthening the global crypto community and, in the case of Binance Square, users enjoy tipping options, crypto boxes, and an affiliate commission program for content creators.
How do users monetize their work on Binance Square and CMC Community?
Binance Square, formerly known as Binance Feed, is for crypto enthusiasts to share ideas, explore trends, and engage in discussions related to cryptocurrencies and Web3 under the Binance umbrella because you MUST be a Binance affiliate, or user, to access it.
Registered users can create and publish their own content, including educational articles, market analyses, and opinion pieces and, as we mentioned above, it offers monetization features for popular collaborations. By promoting this, it not only fosters knowledge sharing but encourages community participation and amplifies blockchain-related messages by providing a central hub for crypto enthusiasts among the Binance user-base worldwide.
Now, what about the CMC Community features? Once you register on CoinMarketCap and get your own account and user, you can post content on this platform.
As a source of free crypto information, it allegedly aims to empower retail users with accurate crypto data and staple news. It also provides a message board for discussions, news sharing, and community engagement by enabling users to draw informed self-regulated conversations about cryptocurrencies, trying to provide transparency and understanding.
On the monetization side, CMC recently launched a campaign to encourage users to post enough quality content during a consistent time basis to declare them influencers, by boosting reach and exposure.
Directly or indirectly, these two platforms will reward users for attractive and engaging content. You may call it Hooks, so to speak.
What’s the attractive content on Binance Square and CMC Community?
For most social platforms, authenticity, usefulness and quality determine the value of a post and in this open forum users must also consider the engagement. There are no manuals for that, but some common best practices to effectively engage with the community in these open public spaces.
To get and consolidate a good reputation among community members, it’s capital to share genuine content that adds value to the community. That’s a no brainer. Any spammy or promotional post is easily detected by your peers and the platforms Admins, so you better focus on educating, informing, or entertaining.
Another good advice should be to think in terms of “Quality Over Quantity”. It’s way better to think of posting anything through the useful scope of quality instead of frequent posts to just say hi. Well-researched articles, insightful analyses, and thought-provoking discussions tend to perform better. If you stay updated with crypto news and trends, and have it through, you will nail it. Share timely information to keep your content relevant.
When posting on these open forums Include keywords related to the topic of your post and use relevant hashtags to categorize your content and help other users to find it. Avoid using any other unrelated mentions or you would be flagged as a potential spammer by the platforms.
Whenever it’s possible, try to respond to comments on your posts. Posting stuff like “When Moon?” or “Nice Article” makes no sense, gets you no traction and puts you in a potential spam grey list. That offers no real interactio and doesn't deserve attention.
To request an opinion, and build a follow up question can sometimes be a good way to start a conversation, no matter if you are posting or making a comment on any post but it does not mean that you should encourage deaf discussions, at all. Stay Respectful and Open-Minded. You may encourage a healthy debate without personal attacks. Be respectful in discussions, even if opinions differ. Always try to build real connections with other platform members.
The Visual Aid will make you stand in front of the crowd. On Binance Square you can post images and it’s necessary to be a veteran on CMC Community to be able to do so. Mix up your content: articles, videos, memes, polls, etc. Any images you may produce like charts, and infographics to enhance your content. A visually appealing post is more likely to catch users’ attention.
How similar are Binance Square and CMC Community to Social Mining?
Social Miners have had in DAOVERSE a long standing option to monetize their Social Media Activity, maybe being the X (formerly Twitter) Module the most famous of the options. Either way, Social Mining is a perfect boot camp for young and blockchain fans to know how this technology works and become information amplifiers to raise awareness in other audiences.
By the time of this article’s publication date, we made available a task in DAOVERSE related to Binance Square in which you’ll be able to select a Daoversian Galaxy Project (Polygon, Kava or TON) and write and posting articles or comments about the Hub and the project on their newly opened Binance Square account to raise awareness on both the Hub and any of the blockchains they pick.
Of course: In order to be consistent with the Hooks we mentioned above, whatever the topic of submissions, authors must spread a row of daily articles during a period of time. It doesn’t make any sense to rush in and push 7 or 10 articles in one single move BECAUSE platform Admins will see this as a spammy action. Just don’t say we didn’t warn you.
Also, other task aims to the same goals on CMC Community. You should try our CMC Task, as well.
If you haven't tried Social Mining yet, maybe this will be a good time to start. 🤓
