Gideon Opeyemi Oloruntade, a 300-level Mass Communication student at the University of Ilorin, stands out not only for his academic achievements but also as an emerging talent in social mining. Discovering Social Mining
Gideon's journey into Social Mining began under challenging circumstances. Introduced to the concept by his friend and fellow trader, @Mightysam65, Gideon was initially searching for ways to fund his trading account. After several unsuccessful attempts in prop firm giveaways, he found himself in debt and desperate for a solution. This desperation led him to DAO Labs’ DAOVERSE, a vibrant community where he discovered a myriad of opportunities beyond mere financial gains.

However, with determination and guidance of his mentors, which are our local Admins, Azraiel and Akindele Calvin, Gideon passed over these hurdles.
‘’To be honest, I was so surprised when I saw the points I received for the task - 1000 points and 0.1 REP! And that was my first task approved on Kava, I was also among the top 10 contributors with high-quality work.
Initially, I was concerned about my infographic not conforming to the hub's colour scheme, but Bro Azraiel and Mr. Akindele Calvin reassured me that simplicity, neatness, and quality content matter most.’’ Gideon recounts.
This support system was crucial in helping him balance his studies and Social Mining activities, ultimately enhancing his productivity and success in both areas.
