Meet Taiwo Arogbo, affectionately known as Dr. Taiwo, a 20-year-old student from the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) in Nigeria. As a new entrant in the World of Social Mining, Dr. Taiwo has already made significant strides, both academically and within the DAO Labs Community.
As a student of Human Anatomy, he was initially not part of the digital working world, but his fascination with the intersection of technology and social impact led him to this innovative field. His entry into Social Mining was inspired by the transformative potential he saw in leveraging data for social good. Dr. Taiwo’s story is one of youthful ambition meeting a groundbreaking platform, showcasing how a fresh perspective can drive success in new and impactful ways.
Start of New Beginning
Dr. Taiwo’s journey began on June 12, 2024, when he first ventured into Social Mining. Despite being relatively new to the field, his background in Human Anatomy and his youthful energy have made him a standout participant.
He says ‘’What actually inspired me is the way the DAO LABS community has used technology to drive social impact to the world and I'm excited about the Social Mining company mission to harness data for social good and I'm looking forward to contributing to the team and learning from the expertise here’’.
His decision to join was largely inspired by the innovative use of technology by the DAO Labs community to drive social impact.
Inspirational Start
Dr. Taiwo’s enthusiasm is matched by his gratitude towards his mentor, Arolee, another veteran Social Miner. He inspires him to push forward by reminding him of the real-world impact that can create through his work.
‘’My mentor is Arogbo Tobiloba Elijah, popularly known as AROLEE, who has motivated me the most, and Azraiel, one of the local admins, and with some quality miners here like Caicay.
He is a pioneer in Social Mining and has dedicated his career to using Data for good, his guidance encouragement and unwavering belief in me have been instrumental in my journey.’’ He recalls

‘’My first reward I earned through socal mining was a research grant worth $100 .....it was a milestone moment for me as it validated my efforts and showed the potential of socal mining to support meaningful research,the grant enabled me to further my studies and fuel my passion for data driven social impact.’’
‘’The income had given me the freedom to embark on a project on school work which I found difficult before because of my financial situation.’’ He shares

1.Collaborate with others members on project that drives social impact,
2. Developing and sharing resources such as tutorial and case studies to help others grow in their social mining journey
And lastly, putting a lot of enthusiasm for the community and opportunities it offers and making a positive impact on others.’’ He shares
